New Trace Heating Controller
The summer months are the perfect time to upgrade and maintain your Trace Heating systems so that when the cold winter weather hits, you can prevent property damage from frozen pipes, build-up of snow and ice on roofs and gutters and ensure critical access routes are always usable.
Diamond Controls is an authorised supplier of nVent RAYCHEM products, the leader in Trace Heating and a manufacturer of trace heating cabling, control units and accessories like easy-install connection kits. Newly launched and available to buy now from our Trace Heating division, Trace Heating Supplies, is the Elexant 650c Modbus Control Unit.
The Elexant 650c is designed for operation with heating cables used in roof and gutter de-icing and surface snow melting applications and is available for delivery within 5 working days. This control unit replaces the EMDR-10 and VIA-DU-20 controllers (limited stock still available for these outgoing models).
Benefit from flexible temperature controls operated by its colour touch screen interface and ambient temperature monitoring with integrated alarms for high and low temperature alerts. Control self regulating trace heating cables so they only power up when the outside temperature warrants surface heating, preventing ice and snow build-up on critical areas such as ramps, steps, roofs and gutters.
The Elexant model is equipped with a RS485 port for Modbus communication to BMS systems so that you can configure and monitor as part of your wider building management system.
Accessories including a mounting bracket, protective cover and housing for the trace heating controller are also available.
