our process how we do it
  1. Assess your requirements

Make an initial call or email into our office and you’ll be introduced to our team who will take down your requirements and assess who’s best for you to liaise with. We may ask you to send over relevant information to be passed to our estimating department so that we can fully understand your needs.

  1. Estimating & Project Insight

Once we have your details and comprehend your requirements, we can determine whether we’re able to offer a quote straight away or need to conduct a site visit. Our estimating team have many years of experience and use their technical knowledge to assess what products will best suit the solutions you need.

  1. Technical Support & Site Visit

For more complex requirements we will arrange a site visit by one of our engineers and this will inform our product selection and requirements for the project. We’re always on hand for technical support and advice throughout the process, even before the start of your project.

  1. CAD Design

Our CAD Coordinator will disseminate plans and requirements from the project managers and our engineers to create a ‘blueprint’ of your needs. This will show detailed drawings of product locations and will form part of our operations and maintenance manuals and commissioning records. Read more about our Design services.

  1. Materials Order & Dispatch

Once a quote is agreed and we have your order, our distribution department will liaise with your project manager to ensure the correct materials are arranged and dispatched on time to your premises to enable the swift installation by our engineers.

  1. Engineer Installation

We have a team of experienced, qualified, in-house engineers that will undertake your installation. They’re also available for retrospective commissioning, where we certify third-party installations of Leak Detection and Trace Heating Systems. Our technicians adhere to strict health and safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, work in a covid-secure manner, and arrive in fully branded uniforms and vehicles for easy identification. They aim to create as minimal disruption as possible during their visit. Our system will be thoroughly checked after install and commissioned with certification to all elements, offering you peace of mind that you have a reliable and fully tested solution.

  1. On-site Training

Where appropriate, our engineers can provide on-site training for personnel. This may include an overview of alarm panel functionality and operational procedures such as what action to take in the event of a leak alarm and back-up battery replacement. Referencing information, data sheets, and full technical details are available within the Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

  1. Operations and Maintenance Manuals

We think of our operations manual as a bible for your system. Delivered digitally in the weeks following your installation it includes all you’ll need to know about your Leak Detection or Trace Heating system. Technical information, maintenance advice and detailed drawings are included along with information on how to register your system to take advantage of our 5-year installation warranty. As many of our installations are carried out under instruction from a facilities management company, this is a vital part of our process to offer enhanced information to commercial property tenants.

  1. Servicing & Maintenance

We strongly recommend an annual service of your Leak Detection and Trace Heating Systems and our servicing department will liaise with you to organise this appointment. We also offer two service packages that include additional benefits such as fault-finding visits and discounted remedials. If you have a wireless system, we offer quarterly appointments to ensure your system is fully working. Our process includes a comprehensive check of all system functionality, testing and a follow-up report with any recommendations.

Our servicing and maintenance team also offer service checks on systems we haven’t installed. Our engineers have many years of experience working with all manufacturer’s systems so you can feel reassured that any potential faults and discrepancies will be fully documented and reported back to you.

  1. Customer Satisfaction

We take pride in our excellent reputation and want to ensure you’re fully happy with our work. We’ll ask you for feedback on our process and will use this insight to continually develop our procedures and ways of working.
