New Aquilar Water Leak Equipment Helps Achieve BREEAM Credits
The leading manufacturer of leak detection equipment, Aquilar, has launched two new products that are specifically designed to meet the requirements of BREEAM. As a distributor of Aquilar and their brands such as EcoLeak and AquiTron, we’re delighted to be able to supply and install these new additions to the extensive range of leak monitoring solutions we provide to clients.
AquiTron AT-OFC Occupancy Flow Controller
WRAS-approved, the new AquiTron AT-OFC Occupancy Flow Controller can isolate the water supply to WC’s and other areas when they are not in use. This helps to limit the risk of water wastage and damage from undetected water leaks. Use in conjunction with WRAS-approved water solenoid valves and PIR leak monitoring sensors for automatic water shut-off in commercial buildings. This system helps towards compliance with BREEAM Wat 3.

AquiTron AT-WFM Water Flow Monitor
This water flow monitoring system has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set out to achieve one of the credits of BREEAM Wat 03. When combined with WRAS approved water meters you can also achieve Wat 02 BREEAM credits as the WFM controller has a built in pulse output that can be remotely connected to the BMS to provide water flow volumes.
This device comprises a control panel with one or two pulsed water meters. Typically, a meter will be fitted just after the utilities main water meter at the boundary of the commercial building and a second water meter fitted adjacent to the main stopcock or isolation valve. A visual and audible alarm will alert personnel when the flow exceeds pre-set limits. This sophisticated kit can be linked to a BMS system and can also operate solenoid valves to isolate the water if these are supplied as part of the system.
